Refugee Film Series
Every Sunday Evening in August at 6:30pm
August 5th - “Rain in a Dry Land”- follow the lives of Somali-Bantu refugees as they resettle to America. Click here for more information.
August 12th- “Rebuilding Hope”- follow the lives of Sudanese refugees as they travel back to their home country to rediscover and contribute to their homeland. Click here for more information.
August 19th- "Moving to Mars" - follow the lives of Burmese refugees as they travel from a refugee camp in Thailand to their new home in Sheffield, UK.
August 26th- "Eviction" and "Building Cultural Bridges: Bhutan - Nepal - Portland" - two short films detail the Bhutanese exodus to Nepal and the resettlement process in Portland, Oregon, along with interviews of community members and organization leaders in Nepal and Portland.
All films will take place in Rissman Hall and panels of speakers will be on hand for discussion after each film.
